Standing in the Gap
In his book, Esther, Charles Swindoll wrote, “Think of the scientists, the inventors, the explorers, the technological experts, who have literally changed the course of history. Think of the courageous preachers down through time who have stood alone in the gap and made a difference.” Think of Esther, and Moses, but most of all think of Jesus who still stands in the gap (the gap of our sin) bridging us to God through the cross and resurrection. It wasn’t just a natural bridge in Marble Canyon, Alberta, but a symbol of God’s grace.
